Animal Jam For Adults

Animal Jam For Adults
  • My niece and nephew have played the 'Animal Jam' web-browser game on their computer for many years now - but, when 'Animal Jam: Play Wild!' Was released for free on their iPad, it quickly became one of their favorite games to play. Like its well-established PC counterpart, 'Animal Jam: Play Wild!'
  • Now my personal opinion: adults can play Animal Jam IF they do not interact at all with the children playing. That's usually for just their personal fun, which is fine, as long as INTERACTING with kids isn't a part of the fun. Whats this about, the adults having a good time or the kids playing safely?! Animal Jam is a game specifically for kids.

Mar 15, 2016 Having items stolen is really nothing more than apathy on Animal Jam’s part, and may not appear to be a big deal, except that it’s rampant in the game. But the abuse by other kids (or adults) is a very serious issue.

Animal Jam is brought to you by National Geographic, and though it is aimed at younger people, there is a lot to explore and loads of fun to be had. Once you have logged in you can create your first animal to explore with. You can choose your colour scheme, eyes and features and you pick your name from a selection available.
Once you have finished you are free to go roaming and wandering the world of Jamaa. As you go you will find loads of games to play, pets to own and animals to discover. You can chat to other players as you go, make friends and go to parties, as well as purchase new items and furniture for your very own den.
As you explore each area you will have games available to play, each game will reward you with gems that you can spend on fun things for your den and new pets. Each different area has themed games, from flying armadillo’s to bunnies hopping on clouds there are so many different games available, and all of them are fun to play.
There are also several shops available for you to spend your hard earned gems in. You can buy new animals, pets, furniture and outfits that vary from wings to armour and instruments that you carry around with you. There is also a special diamond store, where you can buy unique items, and also spend a diamond on some gems if you need them. Diamonds are given out weekly and available from some of the games and challenges you will find.
As well as the games, there are also special laboratories full of cool and interesting info about specific types and groups of animals. One example is the Tierneys Aquarium, where you see videos of Dr Tierney, a marine biologist has several videos about marine life, and some themed games, all of which have an educational aspect. There is also a movie screen where you can watch videos of her in action.
All over the world are scattered animals, that when you click on them you will have a screen pop up with a picture and fun facts about that particular animal. These can then be added to a Journey Book, and when you fill up a page you will win a bonus prize. This is a really great aspect of the game, it teaches cool facts and the animals are fun to find.
If you are a parent wondering if Animal Jam is suitable for your children, there are several things in place to ensure that the environment is safe, and educational for children. First of all, there is an email notification when an account is created, and it opens up a parental control panel, where you can adjust settings, such as how long they can play, and you can see what activities they have completed. The rules on what is acceptable are very clear, and there is a simple player reporting system if anyone feels uncomfortable.
Animal Jam is specifically designed to be educational and fun to play, while using cute animal avatars and graphics, there is so much information available and its a really good tool to use to learn about animals and nature. The games are fun, and often contain tit bits of information and facts.
You can play Animal Jam completely free, but there are limits to the number of animals and pets you can have, and you are restricted on items for your den. There is a membership option, with 3 payment options for 1,6 or 12 months. Membership gives you access to everything in the game as well as a weekly prize as long as you hold the membership. Although you don't need it to play the game it can be a little frustrating to find a cute pet or item and not be able to get it.
Even without a membership Animal Jam is amazing fun to play, some of the games are incredibly addictive, and hunting the animals in each zone is really rewarding. With simple controls, cute graphics and a really smooth game play, Animal Jam is straightforward and entertaining at the same time. Add in the educational value and everyone will find something new to do and learn, adults and children alike in this wonderful game.
